The Arizona Bowl, known for its annual matchup between teams from the Mountain West Conference and Mid-American Conference, has made a groundbreaking announcement today. The bowl game has entered into a multi-year sponsorship deal, introducing a new title for the event – the “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented by Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop.” This marks the first time an alcohol partner serves as the presenting sponsor for an NCAA Bowl Game.
Scheduled to air on December 28th, 2024 at 2:30 pm MST, the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl promises to be an unforgettable game day experience. The collaboration between Snoop Dogg and Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop, the new premium spirits company co-founded by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, will bring their brand to the college football arena in a spectacular way.
Snoop Dogg, a well-known figure in both the music and sports worlds, expressed his excitement about the partnership. “I’ve sent many players through my SYFL to colleges (and the NFL) so it’s only fitting that I bring the ‘juice’ back to college football,” said Snoop Dogg. He added, “Dr. Dre and I are excited to bring our brand to the next level with this partnership, and we’re going to make the Arizona Bowl into a game-day experience like never before.”
In addition to promoting Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop flavors at the event, Snoop Dogg plans to organize several events in Tucson leading up to kickoff. These events will include charity events and a SNOOPER Bowl, featuring California and Arizona’s top youth football teams competing against each other. Snoop Dogg’s philanthropic efforts are well-known, having launched the Snoop Youth Football League 17 years ago. Over the years, the league has seen over 40 kids make it to the NFL. Snoop Special Stars, a part of the SYFL, ensures that children with any physical, mental, or developmental disabilities can participate.
Patrick Halbert, CEO of Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop, expressed his honor at working with one of the brand’s owners. “This partnership was a natural fit for us, and we are excited to be the first alcohol presenting sponsor in a Bowl Game,” he shared. Andrew Gill, the brand’s Chief Strategy Officer, echoed Halbert’s sentiments, stating that the partnership will redefine the definition of a brand partnership within the NCAA. Kym Adair, the Executive Director of the Arizona Bowl, also expressed enthusiasm about the groundbreaking partnership. She said, “We’re thrilled about our groundbreaking partnership with Snoop and Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop. This year, the Arizona Bowl is bringing sports, libations, and entertainment into a singular bowl game, and we are changing the definition of what a brand partnership is in the NCAA.”
The Arizona Bowl formed a partnership with Playfly Premier Partnerships, a division of Playfly Sports, in March 2021. Playfly secured the sponsorship deal with Snoop Dogg and Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop, helping to finalize the agreement. Mike Schreiber, Founder and CEO of Playfly, spoke about the innovation and commitment to providing an unforgettable fan experience through this partnership. He commented, “This partnership is a testament to our innovation and commitment to providing an unforgettable fan experience.
